Betterlate, LLC d/b/a PersonaChat (“PersonaChat,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an AI‑powered platform that lets product teams create and chat with realistic user personas.

2. Scope
This Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect Personal Information when you visit or use https://personachat.betterlate.dev or any related mobile/desktop apps (collectively, the “Service”). It applies to users worldwide who are 18 years or older.
3. Information We Collect

We do not collect payment details at launch. When paid plans go live, all card data will be handled directly by Stripe, never stored on PersonaChat servers.

We use the data above to:
- Provide and maintain the Service.
- Diagnose and fix technical issues.
- Respond to inquiries and provide support.
- Send important updates or material‑change notices.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights or safety of PersonaChat, our users, or others.
We rely on one or more of the following legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR): contract (Article 6(1)(b)), legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)), and consent where required.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with:

6. Cookies & Tracking
PersonaChat uses minimal first‑party cookies set by our auth system and Segment to keep you logged in and gather aggregated analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service may not work.
No third‑party advertising or cross‑site tracking cookies are used.
7. Data Retention

8. Security
We employ industry‑standard safeguards including:
- TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit
- AES‑256 encryption at rest
- Role‑based, least‑privilege access controls
- Continuous monitoring and nightly backups
We are working toward SOC 2 Type II certification.
9. International Data Transfers
All data is stored in AWS us‑east‑1 (Northern Virginia, USA). If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you consent to transferring your information to the United States, where privacy laws may be less protective than those in your jurisdiction.

11. Children
PersonaChat is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we'll notify you by email and/or an in‑app banner at least 15 days before the new terms take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
